KompoZer
KompoZer is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) web page editor, that is free to download and use. Kompozer is similar to Dreamweaver, which is a very expensive program to buy. Kopzer also gives you the option to edit your web page in HTML Code, as well as WYSIWYG. I found the program very easy to learn with some help from http://www.thesitewizard.com/gettingstarted/kompozer-tutorial-1.shtml, which has some great information to assist in building a web page.

I really like using Dreamweaver, and I'm fortunate that I was able to acquire it as part of an educational software package at a promotional price, but it is expensive. Kompozer is a good alternative to Dreamweaver. I also like Mozilla's SeaMonkey - it also lets you code directly or via WYSIWYG. It's always good to find free, or inexpensive, alternatives to the professional applications. They may not have all the bells and whistles, but they often work well and within a limited budget.
ReplyDeleteNicole,
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you that kompozer is easy to learn. I got some extra help from the same site you used but i used used komposer help option. This would be a good application for use in organizations as it saves money and time.
